China’s Ambassador to Croatia, H.E. Qi Qianjin visits ZSEM (22 February 2023)

On the occasion of defining the framework of the narrower cooperation, Ambassador of China H. E. Mr Qi Qianjin, accompanied by the Head of the Office for Education of the Chinese Embassy of Mr Xua, visited ZSEM, where he met with Dean Mat Njavro and representatives of ZSEM CroAsia team, project advisor Tan Liyuan and prof. Zvonimir Stopić. Discussions during the meeting extended to the position of China in the world, the still under-fulfilling potentials of Croatian-China cooperation, and to the challenging capabilities created by the new global circumstances. A special focus of the conversation was placed on ZSEM’s initiative in terms of China, i.e. the existing wide network of cooperation with Chinese universities, which ZSEM plans to further expand, and on ZSEM’s “CroAsia” Institute, which in the past several years had become one of the most solid pillars of Croatia’s cooperation with China and Asia. After a fruitful conversation that helped concretize many goals of cooperation, the ambassador toured ZSEM and met with ZSEM students from China.
